I’ve been walking through one of the most difficult phases of life for some time. Working with Interpretive Leadership Inc. has presented me with the tools and input to help me face reality head on while allowing for monumental decisions and future planning based on the circumstances I’ve encountered. The fusion of their process with my own unique abilities and experiences has created a valuable new life skill. I can’t think of any one person or given context that would not gain something incredible from this priceless process of resolution.

The process ILI uses helped me to refocus and redirect on the things that I could and needed to do, instead of the things I could not control. It helped me find a sense of who I was, what I was doing (and why), and then ultimately figure out where I was going, and devise a strategic plan to get there. The process has also completely revolutionized my approach to almost every other aspect in my life, and has given me the capability to face many challenges with a new perspective.

Ultimately, I am now becoming more comfortable with my own ability to find new perspectives using the ILI process to assess situations. I am also able to create alternative solutions tailored to the specific nature of the circumstances presented me without ongoing outside intervention. The thing that encourages me most is that potential of this highly advantageous process can be used by any combination of individuals, groups and organizations as its first avenue of approach when seeking ultimate satisfaction and resolution with any circumstance they may face.

This is a written testimonial of my family's experience with this formula of crisis control, when our family was exposed to this thinking method.

My husband and I were looking at divorce, my daughter and I could not be in the same room with each other and my son just simply disconnected from it all. The day before I called for help I had talked to a lawyer about a divorce; my husband had threatened to get a restraining order against me. We simply didn’t know how to stop it all from happening. The one thing that we did agree is that without help we were not going to make it through.

Within two hours of looking at the triangle, we were back to looking at working as a partnership. Realize that our long term goals hadn’t changed just our way of looking at it. We were looking at each other as the enemy, the user, the asshole that doesn’t appreciate all the sacrifice that has been made on my part (meaning each of us). Focus has been lost. Isolation had been sneaking up from behind and covered our eyes.

The triangle made it light again, being that we still had the same goals, but each their own separate ways of achieving those goals, and not considering that the other could possibly be taking our action out of context. What we were able to achieve in those first two hours, was to refocus and become sharing, caring partners again.

When parenting you must, no matter how old the children, show a united front. Our fronts were east and west, but did not remain that way after talking about what we wanted.

• Wife: Office Manager-financial accountant, often serving as in the role of both parents.

What we found was that we all felt that everyone wanted something from each; love, respect, understanding and security. And the program gave it back to us with a feeling of acceptance and admission that one is not responsible for all. But all are responsible for some. Thank you. It’s a miracle!

When I met Mary Swenson our company was looking for ways to speed up the decision making process.
